Dolores L. Sriver, 98, North Manchester, and formerly of Akron, passed at 2:10 a.m., Tuesday, April 17, 2018, at Peabody Retirement Community of North Manchester where she resided.
She was born on Feb. 12, 1920, near Akron, to Lloyd H. and Irene (Holz) Haldeman.
She married on Sept. 28, 1940, in Akron, to Garland F. Sriver, he preceded on July 2, 2002.
She had been an abstracter working at Deamer & Deamer of Rochester and her family was her life’s work.
She was a 1938 graduate of Akron High School. She had been a longtime member of the Akron United Methodist Church. She also was a member of the Amicus Club and enjoyed playing bridge and euchre. She loved to cook and maintained a spotless kitchen. She enjoyed hosting her family for many Sunday and holiday meals.
She is survived by her daughters: Marsha (Gary) Parker, Monroe, Mich.; Kathy (Joe) Michel, Milan, Ill.; grandchildren: Penny (Rick) Kirkpatrick; Christopher (Kathy) Parker; Lori (Anthony) Crupi; Lori (Anthony) Crupi; Kelly Weld; great grandchildren: Anna and Max Kirkpatrick and Eli and Serena Crupi.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Garland F. Sriver; sister, Sarah Frances Miller; brother, Howard Haldeman.
A time of visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m., Thursday, April 19, at Hartzler Funeral Home, Akron. The funeral service will directly follow with Rev. Sue Babovec of Peabody Retirement Community officiating. Burial will follow at Akron Cemetery, Akron.
