Kosciusko

Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:

10:54 a.m. Tuesday, April 17, East Armstrong Road, near North 1st St., Leesburg. Drivers: Thomas V. Elkins, 59, North Hickory St., Warsaw, and Cynthia K. Fall, 58, EMS B34 Lane, Warsaw. Elkins’ vehicle was stopped at an intersection when he pulled out to turn west on Armstrong Road. He didn’t notice Fall’s vehicle, causing him to turn into her path of travel. Damage up to $5,000.

7 a.m. Tuesday, April 17, North SR 15, near West CR 1350N, Milford. Driver: Maria D. Pacheco, 46, North CR 175E, Warsaw. Pacheco’s vehicle hit a path of ice on an overpass, causing her vehicle to slide into a guard rail. Damage up to $5,000.

Syracuse

Officers with the Syracuse Police Department investigated the following accidents:

5:50 p.m. Monday, April 16, 100 West Bowser Road. Driver: Kelly M. Corn, 25, West Emeline St., Milford. Corn’s vehicle was parked in a Burger King parking lot. An unknown driver had an argument with a passenger in Corn’s vehicle. Corn attempted to back up when the other driver drove toward her vehicle and struck it in the left front bumper area. The driver left the scene. Damage up to $2,500.

10:52 a.m. Monday, April 16, North SR 13, south of South Harkless Drive. Drivers: Micheal A. Wiener, 22, Eight Mile Road, Cincinnati, OH, and Michael J. Chestnut, 71, East Circle Drive North, Syracuse. Both vehicles were traveling south on SR 13 when Chestnut’s vehicle prepared to make a right turn. Wiener looked down and when he looked back up, his vehicle rear-ended Chestnut’s. Both drivers complained of lower back pain and were checked by medics at the scene. Damage up to $25,000.

Warsaw

Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accident:

8:09 a.m. Tuesday, April 17, West Center St., north of North Columbia St. Drivers: Saumil B. Patel, 24, Robert Treat Drive B, Milford, Conn., and Naveen R. Gunnala, 25, Collins Drive, Warsaw. Patel was driving west on Center St. when he failed to stop at an intersection, causing him to stick Gunnala’s vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
