Kermit G. Grass — UPDATED

Mr. Kermit G. Grass, 81, Lebanon, Tenn., and formerly of Rochester, passed away on Monday, April 9, 2018.

On Nov. 27, 1936, he was born in New Castle Township to Joseph J. and Blanch Coplen Grass. He was a graduate of Talma High School. The Fulton County community was his home until moving to Tennessee in 2009.

Kermit Grass and Janice S. Newcomer were married on May 10, 1958, in Rochester. They have shared nearly 60 years of life’s adventures.

Answering the call of patriotism, he served with the Army National Guard from 1959-1965.

As a farmer, he had a fine herd of dairy cattle. In 1985, Kermit Grass retired from the Fulton County Highway Department after 16 years of service.

He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Janice; daughter, Renae L. Grass, of Nashville, Tenn.; a brother: Wendall Grass and wife Arlene of Warsaw; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding Kermit Grass in death are his parents, daughter: Debra Sue Grass on June 1, 1966, son: Randy G. Grass on July 27, 1998 and four Grass brothers: Donald, Estil, Kenneth and Emil.

Private family services will be in the Good Family Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Rochester IOOF Cemetery.
