Betty L. Baxter, 73, Tippecanoe, passed away at 1:19 p.m., Monday, April 9, 2018, at home. She peacefully fell asleep with her family at her side.

She was born July 8, 1944, in South Bend. She was the daughter of Warren and Mary LaRue Davis. She lived her most of her life in the area. She graduated from Triton High School High. She worked at Stauffer Chemical of Bremen, DaLite Screen of Warsaw and R.R. Donnelley where she retired after 30 years as a clerk. She enjoyed flowers, gardening,painting oil pictures, “shopping”, loved animals and her dog and cats. Betty was a member of the Bourbon American Legion Auxiliary. She will be missed by many.

On April 30, 1961, she married Fearol Baxter at Tippecanoe in the Congregational Christian Church.

Survivors include her loving husband, Fearol; daughters: April Sunday Baxter of Claypool; and Crystal Rose Baxter-Uyhelji and husband Robert of Plymouth; three grandchildren: Sabrina (Lacie) Adams, Summer Uyhelji and Spencer Uyhelji; two great-grandchildren: Lexus and Raven Adams and her sister Donna Mae Mercer of Florida.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m., Saturday, April 14, in Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home, 115 S. Main St. Bourbon, IN 46504.

Funeral services will follow at 2:30 p.m. in the funeral home with Chaplin Denise Gilbert of Marshall County Hospice officiating. Burial will follow in Tippecanoe Cemetery at Tippecanoe.
