Lois Ann Watkins, 81, Warsaw, passed away at 4:05 p.m. on Sunday, April 8, 2018, at Miller’s Merry Manor in Warsaw. She was born on Oct. 30, 1936, in Huntington to Kermit L. and Olive M. (Smith) Funderburg.

She graduated in 1954 from Huntington High School and attended Lutheran School of Nursing in Fort Wayne and Anderson College in Anderson. On Oct. 6, 1956, in North Webster she married James L. “Jim” Watkins, who preceded her on July 27, 2014. She retired in 1991 as a clerk at the United States Post Office in Leesburg after 19 years and was a former nurse’s aide at various area hospitals. She lived most of her life in Huntington, North Webster, Leesburg and Warsaw areas.

She was a member of the National Rural Letter Carrier Association Auxiliary, grew up in the Huntington and North Webster Church of God, and attended the United Methodist Church in Leesburg for many years.

She is survived by her sister, Joan (Richard) Beall, Syracuse and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two sisters: June Niemann and Mary Lou Bennett.

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 10, at Owen Family Funeral Home, SR 13 and CR 500N, North Webster. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. on Tuesday in the funeral home with Pastor Mark Wagoner of the 1st Church of God in Neon, KY officiating. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 11, at Leesburg Cemetery.
