Humphrey Runs To World Compassion Title

WINONA LAKE – Running for a great cause, over 240 people braved the cold Saturday morning for the 10th running of the World Compassion Network’s 5K Run/Walk.

Avon’s Michael Humphrey was the overall winner of the 5K, clocking a 17:07.95, winning the race by a full 1:20 over runner-up Tim Morton of WInona Lake at 18:27.13. Ryan Bonebrake was third overall at 18:42.46.

The 5K listed 237 runners in total that finished the race, along with a handful of walkers and the My Team Triumph racers.

The World Compassion Network held the event to raise funds to help fight poverty and hunger in and around Kosciusko County.
