Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
8:25 p.m. Tuesday, March 13, West SR 25, west of South CR 900W, Mentone. Driver: Jordyn C. Fresh, 18, West 4th Street, Rochester. Fresh was traveling west on SR 25 when she lost control of her vehicle. Fresh’s vehicle left the roadway, striking a fence and causing her vehicle to roll over. Fresh complained of neck and head pain and also sustained several cuts on her hand. She was transported by Mentone EMS to Woodlawn Hospital in Rochester to check on her injuries. Damage up to $10,000.
12:21 p.m. Tuesday, March 13, West US 30, near North SR 19, Etna Green. Driver: James E. Blalock, 48, Evergreen Drive, Plymouth. Blalock was driving east on US 30 and stopped for a red light when a semi truck trailer behind him did not slow in time. The truck hit the left rear of Blalock’s vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
10:42 a.m. Tuesday, March 13, South CR 1300W, south of West CR 500S, Mentone. Driver: Autumn R. Kindig, 33, East CR 600N, Mentone. Kindig was driving north on CR 1300W when she lost control of her vehicle. Kindig’s vehicle slid off the roadway and struck two fence posts. Damage up to $5,000.
8:37 a.m. Tuesday, March 13, South SR 25, south of West CR 150S, Warsaw. Driver: Tiffany S. Keeney, 37, South Don Way, Claypool. Keenly was driving north on SR 25 when she lost control of her vehicle on the icy roadway. Her vehicle struck an embankment, rotated, then accelerated forward and struck a utility pole. Keeney complained of pain to her left arm and wrist. She was transported by ambulance to Kosciusko Community Hospital. Damage up to $10,000.
6:45 a.m. Tuesday, March 13, South Main Street, near West Broadway Street, Etna Green. Driver: Lisa A. Porter, 50, North Meridian Road G, Rochester. Porter was driving north on Main Street when she attempted to stop at a stop sign. Her vehicle slid through the intersection, striking a utility pole and a parked, unoccupied vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
