BOURBON — There will be a “54 Fest” on Saturday at the Old Bourbon Gym to celebrate the life of deceased Triton High School student Cameron Scarberry and to raise money in his name.

Scarberry, who wore the number 54 for Triton football, lost his life in a car crash near Atwood on Sept. 17. Saturday’s event will feature a corn hole tournament, food and music and takes place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Proceeds from the event will go to a fund in Scarberry’s name that will be used to assist student-athletes in need of necessary equipment for their sport.

Contact Mary Yeo or Karianne Dunifin for details.

The “54 Fest” is part of several efforts to remember junior Scarberry, and students are also being asked to #bringcamtoprom by wearing a touch of purple to the upcoming dance at Triton Junior/Senior High School.
