WARSAW — Business was very brief at the Board of Aviation Commissioners monthly meeting Tuesday, March 13. The meeting primarily focused on aircraft purchasing courtesy fuel in order to help support the airport.

Airport manager Nick King said that revenue is up $700 from this time last year. However, he said that the majority of aircraft used to buy courtesy fuel to help keep the airport running.

At the same time, the board said that it does not want to charge fees for general aviation.

The board suggests that purchasing courtesy fuel is just polite behavior.

“It’s the polite thing to do since there’s no service fee,” board President Jay Rigdon said.

The board decided that it would continue this discussion at its next meeting.

In other business:

• The board approved minutes for its Feb. 13 meeting.
• February claims were approved, including $4,127.18 for Cryotech Deicing Technology.
• The next board meeting is at 5:15 p.m. April 10.
