Kosciusko

Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:

8:15 a.m. Wednesday, March 7, North SR15, north of West CR 1350N. Driver: April M. Bobeck, 28, North Old SR15, Milford. Bobeck was driving north on SR15 when she lost control of her vehicle on the icy roadway and struck a guardrail. Damage up to $2,500.

7:50 a.m. Wednesday, March 7,  North SR15, south of West CR 900N, Milford. Drivers: Cori J. Catron, 27, Briar Ridge Circle, Warsaw, and Adam P. Liehr, 29, East Harrison Avenue, Wabash. Both Catron and Liehr were driving north on SR15 when Liehr’s vehicle drove over an icy roadway and spun into a ditch. As he was waiting for a wrecker, Catron lost control over his vehicle, hitting Liehr’s vehicle. Damage up to $25,000.

6:56 p.m. Tuesday, March 6, South Packerton Road, east of East Pierceton Road. Driver: Jo L. Hays, 59, River Cove Lane, North Manchester. Hays was driving east on Pierceton Road when a deer ran into her vehicle. Damage up to $10,000.

10:47 p.m. Monday, March 5, South SR15, south of West Union Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Ellis W. Hall, 22, South CR 600W, Silver Lake, Matthew R. Wilson, 31, West Maui Lane, Surprise, Ariz., and Eric D. Backus, 39, Gregory Farm VLG, Rochester. Hall was driving south on SR15, with Wilson driving north. Due to slick roads, Hall lost control of his vehicle, crossing the center line. As Hall’s vehicle left the roadway, it swiped the right side of Backus’ vehicle. When Hall’s vehicle began to approach oncoming traffic, Wilson hit his brakes and Backus struck the back of Wilson’s vehicle. Hall’s vehicle went into a ditch on the north side of the road. Damage up to $25,000.

10:39 p.m. Monday, March 5, West Bell Drive, west of North Biomet Drive, Warsaw. Drivers: Elvira D. Jesus Delira, 18, Eckart Street, Fort Wayne, and Kyle D. Sult, 20, North Huntington Street, Syracuse. Delira was pulling out of a parking lot, not seeing Sult’s vehicle as she pulled out into a traffic lane. Delira’s vehicle was impacted on the driver’s side, causing it to spin and leave the roadway. When Delira’s vehicle left the roadway it struck a concrete pole. Damage up to $25,000.

 

Milford

Officers with the Milford Police Department investigated the following accident:

5:21 p.m. Tuesday, March 6, South Higbee Street, north of West Section Street. Drivers: Joshua A. Satoski, 37, US Hwy 6, Syracuse, and John D. Hess, 31, County Road 13, Goshen. Hess was driving north on South Higbee Street when Satoski’s vehicle ran the stop sign. Satoski stated that he did not see the stop sign and was unable to avoid colliding with Hess’s vehicle. Satoski was cited for disregarding a stop sign. Property owned by Chad Olson was destroyed, resulting in part of the front lawn being torn up as well as the stop sign being torn down. Damage up to $50,000.

 

Warsaw

Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:

6:52 a.m. Wednesday, March 7, East CR 200N, east of North CR 100E. Drivers: Tyler M. Johnson, 20, East CR 225S, Warsaw, and Marina D. Manges, 22, Walkers Ridge, Warsaw. Johnson was driving south on CR 100E and made a complete stop at an intersection. He entered the intersection to turn left, but Manges, who said she was first to make a complete stop at the intersection, turned in front of him, leading to a collision. Damage up to $2,500.

6:32 p.m. Tuesday, March 6, South Bronson, near East Winona Avenue. Drivers: juvenile male from Rochester, and Mariah K. Metzger, 23, West CR 1400N, North Manchester. A juvenile male was being chased by police and entered an intersection, colliding with Metzger’s vehicle. Damage up to $25,000.
