Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accident:

8:21a.m. Tuesday, March 6, SR 15 and West CR 400S, Warsaw. Drivers: Robin J. Harmon, Robin Drive, Warsaw, Melissa S. Johnson, West CR 550S, Claypool. Harmon told police she was turning east onto CR 400S from SR 15 and did not see the vehicle driven by Johnson. Harmon’s vehicle turned into the path of Johnson’s vehicle, causing the collision. Harmon was checked at the scene and declined medical treatment. Johnson was not injured. Damage up to $25,000.

Warsaw

Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accident:

7:28 a.m. Tuesday, March 6, North Parker Street, north of East US 30, Warsaw. Drivers: Issiac Howard-Mitchell, Pine Cone Lane, Warsaw, Karen S. Pope, East Country Cove Drive, Syracuse. Howard-Mitchell told police he was driving southbound on North Parker Street when he became distracted while trying to retrieve something from the backpack in his passenger’s seat. He said he was unable to stop his vehicle before it rear-ended the vehicle driven by Pope. Damage up to $2,500.
