CLAYPOOL — A one-story home was destroyed after a fire broke out shortly before 9 p.m. this evening, March 3.

The house fire occurred at 4267 S. Scott Road, Claypool, near Palestine Lake. A neighbor called in the fire, which was fully engulfed before emergency personnel arrived on scene. Police believe no one was home at the time of the fire.

Burket Fire Department responded to the scene along with assists from Mentone and Claypool fire departments.
