Emery J. Brandenburg, 80, Warsaw, died at 2:37 a.m., March 1, 2018, at Chapman Place, Fort Wayne. He was born to Edna (Floor) Brandenburg and Emery Brandenburg in Silver Lake, on May 26, 1937.  He was a 1955 graduate of Silver Lake High School.

He was a member of Living Hope Ministries, where he took care of the lawn for 12 years. 

He was a loving husband, dad, grandpa, and great-grandpa. He is survived by his spouse Carole; children: Ron (Katrina) Brandenburg, Warsaw; Chad (Barb) Brandenburg, Elkhart; Bambi (Scott) Maggard, North Manchester; Brenda Ayala, Indianapolis; JoAnn (Mike) Ball, Warsaw, and Tammy Brandenburg, Fla.; 15 grandchildren and many grandkids; 2 sisters, Helen Huffman, Columbia City and  Marjorie Ellenberger, Sidney.  He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.

He retired from DePuy in 2000, where he was a supervisor. He was inducted into the Kosciusko County Basketball Hall of Fame.

He enjoyed doing yard work and playing Euchure. He will be lovingly missed by many.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m., Monday, March 5, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw.  A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, March 6, at Living Hope Ministries, Warsaw; with visitation one hour prior to the service. Pastor Hedgel Perry will officiate the funeral service. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
