Debra L. Schuchman Pafford, 66, Columbia City, passed away at 1:55 a.m., Friday, Feb. 23, 2018, at her residence. Born on Sept. 14, 1951, in Chambersburg, Penn., she was the daughter of Julian J. and Ruby J. (Shearer) Briggs.

She attended Chambersburg High School and graduated with the Class of 1970. She enjoyed doing anything outdoors, including gardening, growing flowers, and having cookouts. Dog and cats were also special to her. Mrs. Pafford was best known for being a very strong person and taking excellent care of her family, who meant the world to her.

Survivors include her loving husband David Pafford, Columbia City; sons: Rodney (Danielle) Schuchman, Brownsburg; Rick Schuchman, Sanford, Fla.; and Nick (Daniell) Schuchman, Columbia City; grandchildren: Patrick, Katlynn, Brayden and Jenna; brothers: Kenneth (Linda) Briggs, Mercersburg, Penn.; and Chris (Darla) Briggs, Columbia City. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Jeannie Briggs.

Friends may call from 12-2 p.m. and 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 28, at DeMoney-Grimes, a Life Story Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive. Memorial donations in memory of Debra may be made to Parkview Hospice.
