NOTRE DAME — A Notre Dame engineering building has been evacuated after a small explosion in a chemistry lab.

It happened Monday morning at the Stinson-Remick Hall of Engineering.

A staff member was nearby when the explosion occurred, and that person has been taken to an area hospital as a precaution.

Hazmat has been called.
