Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:

7:58 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 13, East Hatchery Road, west of North CR 850E. Driver: William M. Omara, 57, North McCulloch Road, Syracuse. Omara was driving east on East Hatchery Road when he lost control of his moped, ran off the roadway and crashed. Omara was transported from the scene and taken to Lutheran Hospital after the accident. Damage up to $2,500.

3:07 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 13, North CR 1100W, north of West CR 575W. Driver: Brock A. Piper-Vermillion, 26, Hickory Road, Argos. Piper-Vermillion was driving south on 1100W when he lost control of his vehicle due to snow on the road. His vehicle went off the roadway and struck a utility pole. The pole broke into multiple pieces. Piper-Vermillion’s vehicle sustained damage on the front. Damage up to $10,000.

WARSAW

Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accident:

7:13 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 13, 1200 Lake City Highway. Driver: unknown. Jamie L. Larrison parked her vehicle at Meijer. When Larrison was finished shopping, she went home. She didn’t notice damage to her vehicle until a few hours later. The front driver’s side turn signal lens and bulb of Larrison’s vehicle was broken and missing. Damage up to $1,000.
