Connie J. Klein, 73, Gilead, passed at 8:40 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018, at Peabody Retirement Community of North Manchester.

She was born on May 21, 1944, in Rochester, to Glen A. and Alice Gail (Wright) Teel.

She married on Nov. 24, 1963, in the Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church of rural Akron to Jerry Klein, he survives.

She was a homemaker as well as working on the dairy farm with her husband.

She graduated from North Miami High School in 1962 as the first graduating class coming from Gilead School. She was a member of the Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, sewing, crocheting, and spending time outdoors.

She is survived by her husband; a daughter: Beth Ann (Nick) Sanson, North Manchester; a grandson: Alex Sanson; step-grandchildren: Michelle (Jason) Downham, Nicole (Josh) Coon, Connie (Shane) Sizemore; seven great grandchildren; sister, Glenda (Jim) Miller, Macy.

She wasreceded in death by her parents.

A time of visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 14, at Hartzler Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 15, also at the funeral home. Reverend Wayne Balmer will officiate. Burial will take place at Gilead Cemetery.
