
Mary Louise Alberson, 92, of Peabody Retirement Community, North Manchester, died at 11:05 a.m., Friday, Feb. 9, 2018 at Peabody Healthcare Center. She was born June 27, 1925 in Wabash, to Delorse Land.
Alberson married Roy Alberson; he died in March of 1991. She retired from Invencess Controls in 1990, and also worked for Lance’s Deli, both of North Manchester. She was a member of the Wabash Eagles Lodge, and the Wabash and Laketon American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed playing bingo and was a great cook. Alberson especially loved Christmas and her grandchildren.
She is survived by two daughters, Dorne (Chuck) Goodrich of Roann, and Cheryl (Tom) Shaw of Batesville, Arkansas, seven grandchildren, Mark (Jennifer) Goodrich of Vincennes, Chuck (Tricia) Goodrich of Noblesville, Amy (Torey) Tomson of Lagro, Mandy (Josh) Fierstos of North Manchester, Crystal (Wayne) Anderson of Cord, Arkansas, Toby Matteson and Billy Matteson, both of Washington; eleven great grandchildren, Chad and Christian Goodrich of Vincennes, Kaitlyn, Kole, Kylie, and Karson Goodrich of Noblesville, Payton and Kelcie Tomson of Lagro, Skye and Ridge Fierstos of North Manchester, and Zeb Anderson of Cord, Arkansas.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, two sons, Douglas and William Matteson, grandson, Larry Miller, and her sister, Pat Warren.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 13, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with Pastor Butch Troke officiating. Burial will be in Falls Cemetery, Wabash. Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Monday, at the funeral home.
