KOSCIUSKO

Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:

2:08 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 8, North SR 19, near West CR 450N. Drivers: Russell W. King, 46, Patnaude Lane, Lakeville, and Garrett L. Cooper, 29, CR 37, Middlebury. King was driving east on CR 450N, and Cooper was driving north on SR 19. King didn’t see Cooper’s vehicle as he pulled across SR 19. He tried to stop, but was unable to before his vehicle struck the driver’s side of King’s vehicle. Damage up to $10,000.

5:13 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 8, East Pierceton Road, near South CR 600E. Driver: Michael S. Sleighter, 37, 17th Road, Bourbon. Sleighter was driving east on East Pierceton Road when a deer ran out in front of him. Sleighter was unable to avoid the deer and his vehicle struck it. There was a small amount of damage to the passenger side of Sleighter’s vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.

WARSAW

Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accident:

2:47 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 8, SR 15, north of 059 Ramp A. Drivers: Marc K. Sutherland, 16, East Sycamore St., Kokomo, and Deborah A. Hammond, 55, West Holderman Road, Silver Lake. Sutherland was driving south on SR 15, approaching an underpass at Lake City Highway. Traffic slowed and Sutherland was unable to avoid striking Hammond’s vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
