Shirley Marie Owens, 71, Pierceton, passed away at 3:07 a.m., Friday, Jan. 26, 2018, at her home. She was born on April 9, 1946, in Virginia to Thomas and Mabel (Hemerle) Baker.

She grew up in Ohio and graduated from Trotwood High School in Trotwood, Ohio. She was married to James Foote who preceded her in 1978, and lived in the Syracuse and Cromwell area for 30 years before moving to Pierceton a year ago. She formerly worked at Tenneco in Ligonier for 15 years and Eaton’s in Nappanee.

She is survived by her three daughters: April Strobel, Pierceton; Chrissy Foote, Warsaw; and Shirlene (Randy) Senders, Princeville, Ill.; son, Tom Foote, Indianapolis; ten grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and granddaughter, Lisa Marie Coplin.

Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. St. Rd 15, Warsaw. Visitation will be from 2-3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, 2018, at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse. Memorial services will follow at 3 p.m. on Saturday in the funeral home with Pastor Dan Burnham of the Dewart Lake Friends Church officiating.
