Warsaw SportsEdgewood Boys

The Edgewood Middle School boys basketball teams went 1-1 versus Maple Creek Middle School of Fort Wayne.

The 7th grade team posted a 49-29 win. Drew Heckaman led the way with 16 points. Russ Winchester had 12 points and Jack Murrell eight as the Tigers improved to 18-1.

The 8th grade team dropped a 41-24 final. Caden Graham and Jackson Dawson each had six points. Dylan Vermilyer added five for the Tigers, who are now 16-3.

Edgewood Girls

The Edgewood Middle School 7th grade girls team beat Maple Creek 30-23.

Macy Bonifield led the winners with 13 points. Emily Bragg scored six points with Jordan Love and Callie Holland each adding four and Avery Fitzgerald three for Edgewood, which is now 3-1.

Lakeview Girls

The Lakeview Middle School girls teams topped Bremen.

The 8th grade team won 28-13 as Cora West led the way with eight points. Tori Jones and Hannah Shapiro each had four points, while Sydni Purvis and Reggan Meadows each had three. Leslie Escutia, Kiersten Parker and Lizzie Miner each had two points for the team, now 2-0.

The 7th grade team best Bremen 45-11. Rylee Burns had nine points and Macy Wayne eight. Tessa Graney and Lauren Grose each added six points, while Julie Meininger and Evaney Hisey each had two and Brittni Brown and Macy Perry one each.
