Incumbents Are Majority Of Candidate Filings

KOSCIUSKO COUNTY — Just several days into the filing period for candidates seeking nominations in the May primary, incumbents are topping the list of the 28 filings. The filing deadline is noon Friday, Feb. 9. All fillings have been by Republicans.

The race for sheriff has been verified with the filing of William “Rocky” Goshert, Anthony W. Ciriello and Kyle P. Dukes. Chris Rager, who has announced his intentions to seek the nomination has yet to file.

Another race is looming, but only for the voters in Plain Township. Current trustee Jerry Kammerer has filed his candidacy, but so has Tyler Huffer.

Other candidates who have filed include:

Circuit Court Judge — Michael W. Reed, incumbent

Prosecutor — Daniel H. Hampton, incumbent

County Auditor — Michelle L. Puckett, incumbent

County Recorder — Joetta L. Mitchell, incumbent

County Assessor — Susan D. Engleberth, incumbent

County Council District 2 — Michael Long

County Council District 3 — Ernest B. Wiggins, incumbent

County Council District 4 — Jon L. Garber, incumbent

Harrison Township Trustee — Tracy Moyer, incumbent

Prairie Township Trustee — Julia A. Goon, incumbent

Tippecanoe Township Trustee — Chris Francis

Lake Township Trustee — Molly Bradford, incumbent

Seward Township Trustee — Aimee A. Hoffman, incumbent

Harrison Township Advisory Board — John E. Hart, incumbent

Lake Township Advisory Board — Wayne Spratt, incumbent

Prairie Township Advisory board — Connie S. Himes, incumbent

Seward Township Advisory Board — Allison McSherry, incumbent

Tippecanoe Township Advisory Board — Edwin (Ed) Clayton

Milford Clerk-Treasurer — Patricia Gall

Milford Town Council — Douglas Ruch, incumbent
