MENTONE — The library will be closed Jan. 1 in observance of New Year’s Day. The staff at Bell Memorial Public Library wish you all a very Happy New Year.

Story hour is held at 3 p.m. every Wednesday and at 10 a.m. every Friday. Children listen to a story, sing songs and make a craft. *There will be no story hour Jan. 3 or 5.*

Looking for ways to entertain the kids and teens during their winter break from school? How about joining the Bell Memorial Library for a winter party at 12 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 6.  The library will be providing lunch (hot dogs, chips and a cookie). They will also be showing the film “Big Miracle.” Attendees are welcome to bring a pillow and blanket along.

Movie Monday is at 1 p.m. Jan. 8.  The feature film will be “Prayer that Never Fails.”  Popcorn and beverages will be provided.

Come and see what you can build with Legos. Lego Club will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 13.

Calling all crafters – Creative Corner will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 18. Attendees will be making a Valentine wreath. Cost for this class is $5.00. This will be limited to 20 participants, and sign-up is required. This class is for adults ages 18 and up only.

Euchre club will be held starting at 6 p.m. Monday, Jan. 22.

Library board meeting is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 8 and Monday, Jan. 29. Meetings are open to the public, and the public is encouraged to attend.

Bell Memorial Public Library has a number of book buddies kits available for check out. These kits contain storybooks as well as manipulatives. These are a great way to get the kids involved and interested in reading.
