Justin “Dean” Burnworth, 38, Fort Wayne, passed away Sunday, Dec. 24, 2017, at his residence in Fort Wayne. He was born June 28, 1979 in Columbia City to Bill and Sandy (Smith) Burnworth.
He was a Pierceton resident until 1990 when he moved to Fort Wayne. He was an avid baseball, basketball and NASCAR fan. In addition, he enjoyed his Challenger Sports League games, family time and Shirley Temple movies.
Survivors include his parents Bill and Sandy Burnworth, Pierceton; a brother: Jason (companion Jessica Cone) Burnworth, Pierceton; grandmother, Mary Smith, Pierceton; his “babies:” nephew, Austin Burnworth, Warsaw and niece, Ayla Burnworth, Pierceton; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded by his “Pa,” Donnie Smith, grandparents, Willis and Juanita Burnworth Elliot.
Visitation hours are scheduled from 10 a.m.-noon, Saturday, Dec. 30, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. A Funeral service will immediately follow at noon Saturday in the Funeral Chapel. Interment will be private in Oakwood Cemetery. Pastor Glenn Hall will officiate the service.
