The Warsaw Street Department was hard at work this morning, Dec. 25, to get the roadways cleared.

KOSCIUSKO — Kosciusko County residents must have been dreaming of a white Christmas because the county received snow just in time for the holiday.

According to the National Weather Service of Northern Indiana, snow totals varied based on location. Winona Lake received 4 inches, Warsaw received 2.5 inches, Leesburg received 3 inches. As usual, locations closer to Lake Michigan received more snow. New Buffalo, Mich., reported 10 inches of snow.

Kosciusko County is no longer under the Winter Storm Warning but the snow will continue to fall. An additional accumulation of 1 to 2 inches is expected. The real hazard will be the strong winds of up to 35 mph, which will lead to drifting snow on roadways.
