Lowell A. Young
Lowell A. Young, 82, Bremen, passed away in Bremen Hospital at 3:30 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 21, 2017.
He had been a resident at Signature Healthcare in Bremen since September 2016. He was born to Clarence and Gertrude Young in Kosciusko County Feb. 3, 1935.
Young had many jobs in his lifetime as a farmer, factory worker at Ball Bands and his own plumbing business. In later years he toured the country driving motor homes and small trucks and towing park model trailers. Young was a former Bremen Fireman for 18 years.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Barbara Young; sons: William (Terry) Young, Lampasses, Texas; James Young, Bremen; and Arthur (Mary) Young, Sulpher, Okla.; 14 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren; sister, Dorothy (Harry) Neibling, Sturgis, Mich.; sister-in-laws: Arlene Young, Portland, Ore.; Joann Young, Bourbon; Kathy Young, Bremen; son-in-law, John Anglemyer, Bremen; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Deborah Anglemyer; sisters, Berniece Young, Lois Mellinger; brothers, Forrest, Raymond, Robert, and Kennth Young; brother-in-law, Milo Mellinger; and a sister-in-law, Mary Young.
At Lowell’s request there will be no visitation or funeral.
Memorial contributions may be given to Bremen Fire Department.
