WARSAW — WCHS in conjunction with Warsaw Police Department participated in a routine canine sweep of the classrooms this morning, Dec. 20. Lt. Joel Beam of WPD was instrumental in coordinating the efforts.
The building was placed in a lockout mode where teachers continued to teach, yet hallway traffic was suspended. Three dogs and handlers conducted active classroom sweeps this morning. As always, the school appreciates the cooperation of students and staff.
At the end of the search, one student was found to be in possession of a vape device and vape juice containing a nicotine substance. WCHS will remain vigilant in working to keep illegal drugs out of the building.
