Warsaw High School Assistant Principal Stephen Clark, left, receives check from Kathy Carr, head teller at ViaCU’s Warsaw Branch.

WARSAW — Each quarter, Via Credit Union staff tracks their workout minutes and a winner at the end is awarded a gift card or gift based on the theme of the wellness initiative.

During the last quarter of 2017, ViaCU’s six branches competed against each other to benefit area schools. Employees tracked their workout minutes and each branch represented a local high school. The branch with the most workout minutes at the end of the wellness initiative received the opportunity to present a check for $100 to the winning high school.

The group that won the competition was Team Warsaw. Therefore, the Underground Society of Goodness, a program that selects students each month who have been caught doing good, received the donation.
