Prepare For Possible Below Zero Temperatures For Christmas
KOSCIUSKO COUNTY — A special weather statement was issued Tuesday, Dec. 19, by the National Weather Service of Northern Indiana.
The statement warns of very cold air moving into the area early next week, including Christmas Day. Temperatures are expected to become colder this weekend, with the coldest temperatures expected from Christmas Day through Wednesday, Dec. 27.
High temperatures will likely only be in the teens with lows in the single digits. In areas with snow fall, It is possible that low temperatures could drop below zero with highs only in single digits. Wind chills can be well below zero at times.
It is advised that those traveling for the Christmas holiday prepare survival kits with blankets, food and water in case of a breakdown.
