Barbara J. Ritchey, 79, Elkhart, died at 3:15 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 14, at Elkhart Place. She was born Jan. 25, 1938, in Oberlin, Ohio, to Leonard & Geraldine (Conkle) Bricker. She married Robert Ritchey on July 2, 1960, in Homerville, Ohio, and he died Nov. 23, 2011.

Surviving are daughters, Pam (Don) Roose, Elkhart, Sonya Black, Zionsville, son, Brian (Jessie) Ritchey, Chandler, Arizona, six grandchildren, one great-grandchild and sisters, Janet Scheutzow, Jacksonville, North Carolina and Linda Mutart, Tucson, Arizona.

Preceding her in death are her parents, husband, Robert and a brother, Wayne Bricker.
Barbara was a 1956 graduate of Wellington High School, Ohio; attended Grace College, Winona Lake, and was a member of Sugar Grove Church. From 1983-1997, she worked in the cafeteria and did custodial work at Goshen Community Schools. She enjoyed sewing, quilting and gardening.

Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 28, with a service following at 11 a.m., all at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret Funeral Home, 311 S. Main St., Goshen.
