WARSAW — The library is expanding its adult section with adult kits in the near future. Going beyond a basic library renting books, movies and games, Warsaw Community Public Library is going to add cake pans to the list of items to rent.

The library board of trustees amended their fines and fees policy as well as their materials policy, introducing adult kits to the lists. The kits will contain one Wilton cake pan and instructions. The pans will be of various designs such as Darth Vader, My Little Pony, the number one, Frozen and Cars characters. The collection will contain 14 different designs and be engraved on the bottom with the library’s information. The kits will be on a seven day lease with one renewal option to extend into 14 days and a $1 fine for every day late after.

Warsaw library hopes to eventually expand the kits over time to include additional items such as tools.

Along with accepting the amendments to the fines and fees policy and the materials policy, the board of trustees unanimously passed the re-election of Christopher Merrill for president and Jill Beehler for vice president and election of Ben Rice for treasurer and Cathy Zdenek for secretary, respectively replacing Sherri Dalrymple and Paulette Sauders.

In other news:
