INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana Football Coaches Association recently released its all-state football lists, and a number of area players made the prestigious rolls.
NorthWood received a pair of picks on the 4A rolls as senior defensive lineman Will Ingle and junior defensive back Bronson Yoder were both nominated. A pair of Triton athletes were named to the Class A teams as senior linebacker Drew Stichter and junior wide receiver Delano Shumpert both made the cut.
Penn had four picks to the IFCA 6A teams as well as one Top 50 pick in senior DL James Morris. Senior WR Zack Usenick, senior OL Ty McCaskill, senior punter Max Chaffe and sophomore OL Tate Johnson were also named for the Kingsmen.
Michigan City was given five nominations to the 5A lists in senior WR Keyshawn McGill, senior QB Mike McCullough, senior DL Christian Vasquez, senior DB Mason Kaletha and junior LB Chase Triplett. Three Concord players were named to the 5A rolls in senior OL Grant Magnuson, senior WR Damien Jackson and senior DL Brady Reed. Adams was given a pair of 5A picks in senior OL Liam Driscoll and junior WR Tre Grey. Goshen was given one pick in senior OL Steven Worlds.
CMA had three players named to the 4A IFCA lists in senior DB Brian Loudermilk, senior DL Deontae Craig and junior OL Amari Curtis. Two Plymouth players were named in senior LB Nate Lafree and junior LB Ezra Winkle, while fellow Northern Lakes Conference member Northridge was given two picks in senior DB Connor Utley and junior DB Julius Graber. New Prairie senior DL Daniel Flaherty, St. Joseph junior OL Mark Hiestand and Columbia City junior OL Liam Hesting were all included on the 4A teams, while Mishawaka senior OL Alex Faulkner was selected for the elite Top 50.
Mishawaka Marian and Jimtown were given three picks each to the 3A rolls. Senior OL Ananasio Sete, senior DB Michael Hemingway and junior LB Zach Whitfield were all chosen for Marian, while senior LB Nik Weiss, junior DL Tyler Norment and sophomore punter Clay Campbell were all selected for Jimtown. Others making the 3A lists were John Glenn senior punter Trevor Weiss, Garrett senior OL Beck Davis, West Noble senior OL Draven Rasler and Knox junior LB Dawson Patrick.
Unbeaten Pioneer was given a total of five picks to the IFCA rolls. Junior DB Jack Kiser was named to the Top 50, while senior DL Jayson Mersch, senior DB Nathaniel Johnson, junior OL Conner Walker and junior LB Daniel Gregorich were all named to the Class A teams. Churubusco was given three selections in senior LB Mason Anderson, sophomore DL Reese Wicker and junior punter Joey Emenhiser. Culver Community had two players named in senior OL Marcellus Anderson and senior DL Alecks McBee, LaVille was given another pair of Class A picks in senior OL David King and junior DB Riley Wagoner, North Miami senior DB Zane Briggs, and North Judson-San Pierre junior DB Chuckie Wilcox were also named.
