Warsaw Basketball: Ladies Best Bobcats
HAMLET – The duo of Emma Bohnenkamper and Kacy Bragg had big efforts to pace the Warsaw girls basketball team to a win at Oregon-Davis Thursday night.
Bohnenkamper canned 17 points to lead the Tigers past the Bobcats 63-46 in a non-conference matchup.
Bragg turned in a double-double performance with 14 points and 10 rebounds as Warsaw improved to 5-2 on the season.
Warsaw, playing for the first time since a 51-43 home loss to Penn on Nov. 21, led 15-10 after the first quarter and 29-19 at halftime. The Tigers put the game away by outscoring OD 15-8 in the third period to build a 44-27 advantage.
Bohnenkamper also had six rebounds for the winners.
Kennedy Patton and Maddie Ryman each scored seven points for Warsaw. Patton also had four steals.
The Bobcats drop to 2-4 on the season.
OD won the junior varsity contest by a 44-41 final. The hosts outscored Warsaw 16-9 in the final frame to earn the win.
Kendall Wayne had 13 points and Kensie Ryman 10 to lead the Warsaw JV squad, which falls to 5-2.
Warsaw will host Portage Saturday with the JV game at 2 p.m.
