WARSAW — Warsaw Community School’s FFA divisions recently celebrated major success at the District 2 Chapter Meeting Career Development Event at the Warsaw Area Career Center on Wednesday, Nov. 15. Both the senior (high school) division and the novice (middle school/freshman) division advanced as the top two teams at the event.

During the event, teams of eight to 12 FFA members utilized parliamentary procedure based on Robert’s Rules of Order to conduct an FFA while given several types of motions. Students are judged on how the motions are introduced, utilized and discussed along with FFA meeting opening and closing ceremonies.

Of seven teams in the senior division and four teams in the novice division, Warsaw FFA took the top placement in each and will advance to the Section 1 Chapter Meeting CDE on Tuesday, Dec. 5, at Argos High School. The senior and novice teams are coached by Warsaw FFA Advisors Julie Carrell and Jacob Riley with assistance from FFA community supporter Ot Schroeder.
