Katie J. Yoder, 87, Nappanee, died at 4:20 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 16, 2017 at her residence. 

She was born June 14, 1930 in Bremen to John A. and Sarah (Miller) Borkholder.  On April 2, 1953 she married Levi E. Yoder in Bremen.  He preceded her in death Oct. 9, 1998.  She was a homemaker and a member of the Old Order Amish Church. 

She is survived by her sons, Glenn (Cara) Yoder, Nappanee, Richard (Beth) Yoder and Perry (Clara) Yoder, both of Bremen, and Harley (Diane) Yoder, Nappanee; daughters, Sarah (Jerry) Schmucker and Anna Yoder, both of Nappanee; 25 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; sisters, Malinda (Mahlon) Bontrager, Bremen, Ruby (Albert) Yoder, Bourbon, Irene (Eli) Lehman, Milford; brothers, Eli (Clara) Borkholder, Bremen, Eddie (Elnora) Borkholder and John Henry (Rosanna) Borkholder, both of Nappanee, Larry (Etta) Borkholder, Milford; sisters-in-law, Edna (Gilbert) Borkholder, Topeka, MaryEllen (Tobias) Borkholder, Bremen, and Sharon (Noah) Schrock, Montana.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Levi; brothers, Roman, Gilbert, Tobias, and Leroy Borkholder; brother-in-law, Mahlon Bontrager; and sister-in-law, Bertha Borkholder.

Family and friends may call after 2 p.m., Friday, Nov. 17 and all day Saturday, Nov. 18 at Jerry Schmucker residence (6044 W. 1350 N., Nappanee).  Funeral services will begin at 9:30 a.m., Sunday, Nov. 19 at Richard Yoder residence (1128 4^th Rd., Bremen).  Home ministry of the Old Order Amish Church will officiate.  Burial will follow in Weldy Cemetery.
