Betty Gaye Berger, 82, North Webster, passed away at 11:25 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 3, 2017, at Kosciusko Community Hospital in Warsaw. She was born on March 26, 1935 in Chester, Ill. to Roy M. and LaVerne E. (Bueckman) Tindall.

She grew up in Chester, Ill. and graduated in 1953 from Chester High School. She moved to the Warsaw and North Webster area in 1961 from Chester, Ill. and was married on July 28, 1962 in North Webster to David William “Dave” Berger who preceded her on May 9, 2016. She was a homemaker and a librarian at North Webster Elementary for 15 years.

She was a founding member of the New Life Christian Church & World Outreach in Warsaw and the Sha–Na Girls.

She is survived by two daughters: Lori (Matt) Brubaker, Warsaw; Michele (Jerry) Fisher, North Webster; Gina Bono, Boulder, Colo.; nine grandchildren; one great grandson; four step grandchildren and nine step great grandchildren; five brothers: Robert (Gale) Tindall, St. Peters, Mo.; Ronald (Sharon) Tindall, Lake St. Louis, Mo.; Richard (Donna) Tindall, St. Charles, Mo.; Tom (Sherrie) Tindall, Chester, Ill.; Michael (Rosie) Tindall, Chester, Ill.; sister-in-law: Lois Tindall, Chester, Ill.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Melody May, step grandson, Kinser Brubaker, and brother, Monte Tindall.

Cremation will take place at cremation services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. St. Rd 15, Warsaw. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 11 at New Life Christian Church & World Outreach, 744 S. 325E, Warsaw. Memorial services will follow at 2 p.m. in the church on Saturday with Pastor John B. Lowe II officiating. Owen Family Funeral Home, St. Rd 13 & CR 500N, North Webster is in charge of arrangements.
