Flooding on SR 13 near South Shore Golf Course, Syracuse.

WARSAW — Kosciusko County Central Dispatch is warning people to slow down. With the heavy rain the area has seen this morning and afternoon, roads are flooding faster than officials can keep track of them.

Kosciusko County Highway Department was unavailable for comment, but a Kosciusko dispatcher stated they’ve been too busy with calls to even make a list. “There’s a lot I’m sure we haven’t even found yet,” said the dispatcher.

The Indiana Department of Transportation for Northeast Indiana has announced that all lanes of SR 13 between Vawter Park and Shore Drive have been closed due to flooding.

County and state highway departments are continuously evaluating road conditions. Drive slow and be prepared to take alternate routes as county and state highways may be forced to close.

Updates to conditions will be given as they are received.
