Patricia J. “Pat” Birge, 81, Rochester, passed away at 1:20 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2017, at Woodbridge Health Campus, Logansport.

She was born on Nov. 23, 1935, the daughter of George Alfred Thomas and Helen (Judkins) Thomas Sage. On Aug. 11, 1956 in Lebanon, she married Euel Birge. He preceded her in death on Sept. 1, 2012.

Mrs. Birge had worked as a QMA for Hickory Creek for many years and had also worked for Delco Remy in Kokomo, Indiana. She enjoyed horses, going to Shipshewana to flea markets, collecting elephants, and being with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her children, Kevin Birge, Rochester, Daniel and wife Julie Birge, Kewanna, Jim Bartley, Frankfort, grandchildren, Elisha D. And husband Ryan Prater, Rochester, Rustin Birge, Rochester, Kayla and husband Matthew Hunter, Rochester, Ashley Birge, Kewanna, Lacey and husband Calvin Holloway, Kewanna, eight great grandchildren, brother, Ed and wife Joan Thomas, Leiters Ford. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Dick Galvin and Steve Thomas, sisters, Sis Galvin and Judy Heath.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 3 at Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery, Colfax.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimers’ Association.
