
Arthur Lee Blocher, 78, North Manchester, passed away at 1:14 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 29, 2017, in his residence. He was born Sept. 5, 1939 in Kosciusko County to Walter and Tressie (Yoder) Blocher.
On June 27, 1958 he married Anita Graybill.
Art was a self-employed truck driver and mechanic his whole career. He drove for many companies over the years including Batalis of Warsaw. He retired in 2010. He enjoyed his family and was an outdoorsman, enjoying fishing, mushroom hunting and tinkering on anything mechanical. He was a genuinely loving man. He was a member of Laketon Wesleyan Church, Laketon.
He is survived by his wife, Anita Blocher, North Manchester; sons, Robert (Brenda) Blocher, Larwill, and Patrick (Tari) Blocher, Warsaw; daughters, Linda (Randy) Middleton, North Manchester and Roberta (Paul) Slone, Bunker Hill; brothers, Danny (Michelle) Blocher, North Manchester, and Walter (Tana) Blocher Jr., Pierceton; sisters, Dorothy Blocher, South Whitley, Donna (Phil) Metzger, Claypool, Joy (David) Wolf, Rossville and Eileen (Bill) Cahill, Colfax; sixteen grandchildren, thirty-five great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. One sister, Rosadella Miller, died in 2011 and one great grandson, Russell Grindle, died in 2017.
Family and friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 3 at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 4 at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester. Pastor David Cox will officiate. Burial will be in Eel River Old German Baptist Church, Silver Lake, IN.
