WARSAW — The annual Spooktakular event took place from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 27, in downtown Warsaw.

Children dressed in a variety of costumes walked through the downtown area, collecting candy and treats from local businesses.

The annual costume contest was held at 7 p.m., with 116 individual participants and six groups. The contest was divided into five age categories, as well as a group category for participants of any age. Each category had prizes for most original, funniest and scariest costumes.

Sponsors of this year’s event include Warsaw Community Development Corporation, the city of Warsaw, Miller’s Senior Living Community and the Warsaw Breakfast Optimist Club.
