Teodoro “Teo” Xique Santamaria, 22, Warsaw, passed away at his residence surrounded by family at 11:15 a.m. on Oct. 23, 2017.

He was born on Nov. 9, 1994 in San Gregorio, Zacapechpan, C.P. Mexico, to Alberto Xique and Jaqueline Santamaria Tecaxco, who both survive in Warsaw.
Teo has been a resident of Kociusko County for the past 18 years where he was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Warsaw. He attended Jefferson and Harrison Elementary Schools, as well as Lakeview Middle School in Warsaw. He was a proud 2013 graduate of Warsaw Community High School. He was a hard worker, and had worked at a number of businesses prior to his employment with Kosciusko Community YMCA in 2015. Teo was a very well known face at the YMCA, and was always very helpful and kind to everyone who had a question. He enjoyed driving, cooking, video games, running 5k’s, and working out. In his short life of 22 years he made a huge and lasting impact on everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. He will be dearly missed by his family and many friends.
He will be lovingly remembered by his parents: Alberto Xique and Jaqueline Santamaria Tecaxco, Warsaw; four brothers, all of Warsaw: Fernando Xique, Hayden Xique, Xavier Xique, and Nery Alvarado; and his sister: Jasmaine Santamaria, Warsaw. He also leaves behind his grandmother: Maria Tecaxco, New York, N.Y.; and his grandfather: Ignacio Santamaria, Mexico. He was preceded in death by two grandparents.
Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 25, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw. There will be a Rosary Service at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
His funeral mass will be conducted at 11 a..m. on Thursday, Oct. 26 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 225 Gilliam Drive, Warsawand celebrated by Father Constantino Rocha. Burial will follow with a graveside service at Oakwood Cemetery of Warsaw.
