Shepherd Takes Top Honors In Monster Dash Run

FORT WAYNE – Brian Shepherd added another running victory to his lengthy list this weekend.

The former West Noble boys cross country coach took top honors in the Monster Dash event held in Fort Wayne.

Shepherd covered the 5K course in a winning performance of 17:25.

Shepherd coached the West Noble boys team for two decades, compiling a 197-15 mark in dual meets. He guided the Chargers to the State Finals six times in his outstanding coaching career.

Shepherd, who was a standout runner at both Prairie Heights High School and Taylor University, is the principal of West Noble Primary School.

The Saturday race, which was held at Foster Park, attracted more than 100 runners.

The Monster Dash, which was sponsored by UAW Local 2209, was a fundraiser for the Fort Wayne Trails.
