Kosciusko

Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:

10:40 a.m. Monday, Oct. 23, South SR 15, north of South CR 300W, Silver Lake. Drivers: Sally A. Johnson, 58, West CR 800S, Claypool, and Emma J. Slone, 81, South Dawn Court, Silver Lake. Johnson’s vehicle struck Slone’s when Johnson pulled out on to SR 15 behind Slone. Damages up to $2,500.

1:53 a.m. Monday, Oct. 23, East US 30, west South CR 900E, Pierceton. Driver: Darnell L. Bontempo, 35, Holton Avenue, Fort Wayne, hit a deer. Damages up to $5,000.

12:09 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 22, North SR 15, south West Monoquet Road, Warsaw. Drivers: Kyle J. Yutzy, 19, North CR 900W, Shipshewanna, Sigmund B. Harrell, 35, Institute Street, Valparaiso, and Pascual N. Sanchez, 69, West Catherine Street, Milford. Yutz’s vehicle rear-ended Harrel’s vehicles which was pushed into Sanchez’s. Damages up to $25,000.

9:57 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 21, South SR 13, north of South CR 525E, Pierceton. Driver: Genice L. Addis, 29, West CR 750N, Larwill, hit a deer. Damages up to $5,000.

9:14 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 19, South SR 15, south of West Hill Lake Road, Claypool. Drivers: Kevin D. Mohler, 43, South Britt Drive, Monticello, George A. Graves, 71, North Quiet Water Circle, Monticello, and Jean M. Taylor, 70, West CR 500S, Claypool. Mohler’s semi rear-ended Graves’ semi and pushed it into Taylor’s bus which was stopped for a student pickup. Damages up to over $100,000.

Syracuse

Officers with the Syracuse Police Department investigated the following accidents:

2:55 a.m. Monday, Oct. 23, North SR 13, north of North Grandview Drive, Syracuse. Driver: Brandon M. Bohnke, 27, East CR 500N, Leesburg, hit a deer. Damages up to $5,000.

Warsaw

Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:

8:18 a.m. Monday, Oct. 23, South SR 15 and South Paxton Drive, Warsaw. Drivers: Marsha M. Peppel, 75, South Paxton Drive, Warsaw, and Joseph P. Hawn, 51, Park Avenue, Winona Lake. Peppel failed to yield to Hawn. Damages up to $10,000.
