AKRON — Tippecanoe Valley’s football team suffered a 40-14 loss to North Miami at home in Akron Friday night.

The Warriors (6-3) jumped out to a 20-0 lead at the half and never looked back as they handed the Vikings (2-7) third third straight loss.

Valley racked up 190 rushing yards led by Cameron Parker’s 76 yards in 14 carries, but Tanner Trippiedi was held to 4-of-11 passing for 41 yards, his longest a 35-yard completion to Noah Miller. Miller also finished with 24 rushing yards, while Trippiedi recorded 23.

Trippiedi and Jaydin Conley rushed for the Vikings’ two touchdowns — one in the third and one in the fourth period.

Valley will open Class 3-A Sectional 27 play at Peru next Friday at 7:30 p.m. North Miami will play at South Newton for its Class A, Sectional 42 starter, also at 7:30 p.m.
