NORTH WEBSTER — To celebrate the start of fall break for Wawasee schools, teens are invited to jubilate with games and snacks at North Webster Community Public Library at 3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 20. There will be a variety of board games to play and snacks to munch. All students in sixth grade and above are welcome to join the fun.
The library has fun activities for kids of all ages. For elementary school students, there are crafts and stories at 4 p.m. every Tuesday where kids make crafts while listening to stories. Preschool story time is geared to children ages 3 to 6 with stories, activities and crafts every Wednesday through Nov. 8. Parents have a choice of two time periods at 10:30 or 11:30 a.m. Even infants and toddlers have fun exploring stories and books at lapsit story time at 11 a.m. every Tuesday and Friday. Whatever age your child is, they will find fun and educational activities at the library.
Reservations are still being accepted for the craft-a-card workshop at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 20, taught by Wrenay Kann. Participants will make three beautifully detailed greeting cards for a cost of $10. Advance registration and prepayment is required and can be made at the circulation desk.
Stop by the check it out station near the circulation desk and enter the October drawing. Since October is Family History Month, the library encourages patrons to read a book, listen to an audio book or watch a movie about family; then enter the title and your name and phone number in the drawing for a chance to win a prize. The more you check out, the more chances to win. The drawing will take place the first of November.
