Markus Neal Middleton, 23, Albion, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2017 at 9:01 p.m. in Albion. He was born on June 14, 1994 to Allen Jay and Angela (Pettit) Carey in Auburn.

He worked for Subway Restaurant in Albion. He enjoyed being with his family, friends and his dogs.

Markus is survived by his parents, Allen Jay Carey, Warsaw and Angela Pettit Burkholder, Goshen; sisters, Renee Hamilton, Milford; Nikki (Paul) Huston, Albion; and Krista Swick, Warsaw; maternal grandparents, Sue (Jeff) Beaverson and Herman Neal (Virginia) Pettit Jr, Warsaw; paternal grandmother, Phyllis Carey; Markus’s companion Jerry Middleton Jr., Albion; an uncle, Andrew Neal (Missy) Pettit, Warsaw; a nephew, Wilford Snell, Warsaw and his dogs, JJ and Baby Girl. He is preceded by his paternal grandparents.

A memorial will be held at 1 p.m. Oct. 14 at Grace Christian Church, Albion with Pastor Scott Mosley officiating.

Burial will be at a later date.
