DUNLAP – It’s been a good week for the NorthWood tandem of Brant Mast and Jared Hoffman.

The Panthers’ No. 1 doubles team extended its season with yet another win Thursday night.

Mast and Hoffman fought off a strong challenge from Angola’s top doubles team in three sets to win an individual sectional title at Concord High School.

The pair of NorthWood seniors beat Spencer Griffin and Eric Nofziger 7-6 (7-5), 4-6, 6-4 in the finale for No. 1 doubles teams still undefeated in postseason tournament play.

Mast and Hoffman also claimed the championship at the top doubles position in the Northern Lakes Conference Tournament last month.

Mast and Hoffman, who also won matches at Concord on both Tuesday and Wednesday nights, advance to the LaPorte Regional round on Oct. 14.
