Grace’s men’s and women’s tennis teams finished their fall seasons Tuesday.

The men’s team bowed out of the Crossroads League tourney with a 5-4 loss at Marian, while the women lost at Huntington, 7-2, also in Crossroads League play.

The Lancer men (4-6) were unable to beat Marian for the second time this year. Grace lost to the No. 2 seed Knights Tuesday in the quarterfinals of the Crossroads League Tournament.

Grace jumped out to an early lead after doubles as the Lancers won two of the three doubles’ points.

But the Knights (9-2) rebounded to win the rest of the singles’ courts to advance to the semifinals. Kurkulin was handed his first loss of the year at No. 1 singles, and Adam Yoder narrowly lost 4-6, 6-4, 3-6 at No. 5.

Emily Mast had a part in both of the Lady Lancers’ points. She won at No. 1 singles and then teamed up with Carrie Copeland at No. 1 doubles to grab a point.

The Foresters (13-2), the No. 3 seed in the tournament, won two of the three doubles’ courts. Huntington also ran away with five singles’ points in the match to advance to the league tournament semifinals. Grace ends its fall campaign 9-6 overall.
