Edmond R. ‘Ed’ Proietti — UPDATED

Edmond R. “Ed” Proietti, 93, Warsaw, passed away at 12:10 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2017, at his residence. He was born on July 24, 1924 in Mt. Kisco, N.Y. to John and Natalie (Salvati) Proietti.

He graduated from Mt. Kisco High School, attended a business college in New York and was a United States Army veteran during World War II. He was married on Aug. 14, 1948 in Pleasantville, NY to Adele E. Kolb who preceded him on Aug. 14, 1971. He retired as a plant manager for Spartan Copper and Brass Company after 40 years in New York, Illinois, California, and Texas. He moved to the Warsaw area in April 2017 from Winchester, VA.

He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Lions Club, and V.F.W all in Winchester, VA. He was an avid golfer and won the Senior Olympics Championship in South Carolina and Florida.

He is survived by his daughter, Kathleen (Greg) Hall, Winchester, Va.; two sons: Gary (Sandra) Proietti, Mentone, and Garth Proietti, Houston, Texas; 14 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren; brother Raymond Proietti, Manalapan, N.J.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, granddaughter, Anna Proietti, and brother, Archimedes Proietti.

No services will be held at this time. Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. St. Rd 15, Warsaw, IN. Burial will take place at Resurrection Cemetery in Danville, IL at a later date.
