Boys Soccer

Wawasee couldn’t keep pace with Northridge Tuesday in boys soccer, losing 7-2 in Syracuse.

Chris Pena assisted on both goals, a first half tally to Ryan Edington and a second half score to Camden Cox.

Micah Cross had two goals and an assist to lead the Raiders, while Jonny Mora, Adam Mass, Tony Jimenez and Evan Beasley all found the net in the win. Pierce Keck, Cam Chappell and Brady Gust all had two assists.

Northridge improves to 8-4-4 overall and levels at 2-2-2 in the Northern Lakes Conference. Wawasee sits at 5-6-3 and 0-6 in the NLC. The Warriors conclude its regular season Thursday at home against Plymouth.

Elkhart won the JV game 5-1.

Girls Soccer

Wawasee’s found a pair of goals against Memorial, but couldn’t stop the Charger offense in a 7-2 loss in Elkhart.

Meghan Beer and Allie Haberman scored for Wawasee, its first goals in conference play this season. The match was tied 2-2 at the half before Memorial scored five unanswered goals to run away with the win.

Andrea Puga notched a hat trick for the Chargers and added an assist. Hannah Smith added two goal and Stephana Santos and Jahlea Douglas each scored a goal. Douglas added two assists in the match.

The win gives Elkhart its first NLC win to finish at 1-6 and up to 4-10 overall. Wawasee is 3-12 overall and 0-6 in the NLC, its final crack at a win Thursday at NorthWood.
